Nearshore Marketing, a DigitalMarketer.com certified partner, started in 2009, in the middle of the global financial crisis, when its founder Fernando Labastida noticed there was a crop of new, talented technology consulting companies from Latin America offering their services to the U.S. market who couldn’t figure out how to sell their services effectively.
Fernando started blogging in Spanish from his original website, latinitmarketing.com, providing free advice to software companies, outsourcers and consulting firms from Mexico all the way to Tierra del Fuego, on the best ways to penetrate the largest, most difficult market in the world.
And it was through blogging that he attracted his first customers: Definity First, Infolink, Making Sense, NEORIS and Softtek.
Since its inception in 2009 Nearshore Marketing has helped dozens of companies enter the U.S. market or boost their presence in the U.S. market through modern as well as traditional marketing strategies, including:
- Conversion-oriented English-language websites
- Content marketing
- Outbound marketing
- Inbound marketing
- Email marketing and marketing automation
- Event and trade show marketing
Taking Gary Vaynerchuk’s statement to heart that “…if you don’t create content, you basically don’t exist,” in 2014 Nearshore Marketing was re-launched as Content Propulsion, providing a more focused approach to its services using a content-first approach.
And in 2017 through a re-branding exercise Content Propulsion re-emerged as Nearshore Marketing, reinforcing its original goal to help outsourcers and software companies from Latin America enter the U.S. market the right way.
In December of 2017 Fernando publishes his first book on Amazon, Nearshore Marketing, in both a Kindle version as well as a paperback edition. The book provides a complete guide to Nearshore outsourcing companies wanting to enter the U.S. market, and is a culmination of all of Fernando’s sales and marketing experience over the previous twenty years.
Kirk Laughlin, CEO of Nearshore Americas, said the book is “…an outstanding read, providing rich detail and instructions for Nearshore companies trying to improve their business development models in North America and globally.”
Marcelo Gomes d Costa, CMO of NEORIS, said “…this is a terrific and practical handbook full of actionable advice, touching on many areas pertinent in the B2B marketing and highly recommended for any executive that wants to sell Nearshore services in the U.S. market.”
And Steve Mezak, CEO and Founder of Accelerance, said “… Fernando Labastida and his Nearshore Marketing Book gives you the concrete advice and guidance you need to stand out from your competitors around the world.”
